Butter is a yoga, pilates and barre studio offering students a way to connect to their physical and mental self through regular movement in flow. Our classes range from challenging and dynamic to restorative and nurturing — all therapeutic for body and mind.

From dynamic power flows to deeply restorative yin — there's something for every body.

Power Flow

A vinyasa-style class linking breath and dynamic movement. Build strength, flexibility and mind-body connection. Some yoga experience recommended.

Slow Flow

A steadier approach to vinyasa. More time in shapes, focus on breath. Suitable for all levels and great for those new to the practice.

Yin

Long, passive holds targeting deep connective tissue and fascia. Focus on breath and quieting the mind. A restorative antidote to modern life.

Pilates Flow

Low-impact, full body mat pilates focussing on controlled movements, stability and alignment. Target core, arms, legs and glutes.

Barre Flow

Combining elements of ballet, pilates and yoga. Build strength, flexibility and balance through fun, fluid movement. No ballet experience required.

Yin + Myofascial Release

Long passive holds combined with targeted self-massage using therapy balls to release tension and improve mobility.

FAQ

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. For yin classes, you may want extra comfy layers. Classes get quite warm, so bring a water bottle and towel if you like. Leave your phone outside of the studio. Mats are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before class start time. For security reasons, the main door is locked once class begins. Allow yourself plenty of time to arrive and check in at reception.
Yes! Classes are for everyone. Students are encouraged to modify and progress to suit their level. Some classes are more challenging — we recommend some yoga experience before attending a Power Flow. Let your teacher know if you're new so they can support you.
If you've received medical advice that it's safe to do so, you're welcome to attend. Slow Flow and Yin are appropriate for pregnancy. We recommend you only attend Power, Pilates and Barre if you were practising regularly before pregnancy. Always inform your teacher.
All bookings must be made in advance. Cancellations can be made 8+ hours before class without penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows incur a $10 fee. For class pack holders, a missed booking forfeits a class from the pack.
Memberships can be paused for up to 4 weeks at a time with at least 7 days notice. This applies to ongoing memberships only (not class packs or intro offers). Email hello@butteryoga.com.au to request a pause.
There are 6 car parks available at the property. We recommend looking for street parking to avoid congestion during busy class times. Plenty of street parking is available on Phillip Island Rd and surrounding streets.
